Biochemical and analytical process of high performance liquid chromatography
What is high performance liquid chromatography and what are the other different types of chromatographic techniques? There are different types of chromatographic techniques like ion exchange chromatography, gel filtration, thin layer, and size exclusion chromatography, liquid and solid chromatography. Initially the mixture containing the sample to be separated will be dissolved in the mobile phase. Then it is passed over the stationary phase where the analyte that needs to be quantified will be separated form the other components, based on the difference in the partition coefficient of the analyte in the stationary and the mobile phase.
