Selling on eBay may look complicated, but it is really easy. Of course, there are many tips and tricks to being successful, but getting started is easy, and here is how. The first step is simply to register as a buyer. Right at the top it will say, “Welcome! Sign in or Register.” After that, set up a PayPal account if you do not already have one. You click on “Register” and follow the steps. Next, you create your seller account. Again, at the top of the page on the right is a link that says, “Sell.” Click the “Sell” link and follow the steps. This is a little more involved but not complicated. Basically, you will be asked for information needed to verify your identity. Because eBay has sellers fees, eBay will give you options on how to pay the fees. For example, you can have the fees deducted from a bank account, paid by PayPal, or by credit card. I advise you to choose the credit card option to have the card kept on file. EBay will also ask if you want to pay a small fee to have the card verified. Again, I advise you to pay the few dollars as this will lend you seller credibility and also get you started selling faster. During this set up stage, you will also be given options for how you want to accept payment from buyers. Since you are new to this, I would suggest you choose the PayPal option for the sake of simplicity and ease of getting started.
